Can you pick the baby's gender?

So here is my question. Is there a way to pick the gender of your child? I know some people say there are certain things you can do in order to have the gender you want. But what are those things? If you want a boy, how would you go about trying to conceive one? Have these things worked for any of you?

  • There's the Chinese gender calendar that's supposedly 99% accurate (wrong for both of mine). There's the Shuttles method, which is based on the thinking that girl sperm are slower and can survive in a different acidic/basic environment than boy sperm, so if you conceive 3-5 days before you ovulate you're more likely to have a girl, and if you conceive 1-2 days before or on the day of ovulation you're more likely to have a boy (both of mine were conceived 2 days before ovulation, one boy, one girl). Or if you really want to and can afford it, you can pay out the wazzoo to have someone scientifically select sperm for the gender you want and insert it using intra-uterine insemination or in-vitro, but even that isn't 100%.

  • Try the chinese calendar and their is a method out there that says if you conceve on your ovulation day you are more likely to have a boy. Just google it, and it will show you about 100 different things to try!
