Mom with older Daughter Medical Question

My dd is 8 years old and has a lump under her nipple it is pretty big it is only on one side.
She says it hurts and itches is this normal or should I be concerned?

  • IT MAY JUST BE HORMONES DUE TO PUBERTY, BUT I WOULD HAVE IT CHECKED JUST TO BE SAFE!!

  • Is it warn to the touch? It could be an infection there. My 7yr. old niece had a lump on her belly and it ended up infected and needed to be drained. Hope all goes well. I would have it checked out.

  • Take her to the doctor, anytime a child is in pain and hurting, I take them to the doctor.

  • Breasts develope at different rates. It is possible that that nipple is starting to grow & the other is not. Growing boobs does hurt. sometimes a lot.
