Would insurance cover it?

Ok, so I'm about 1-2 days from Ovulating and I want to TTC #2. My question is, insurance doesn't technically start for us until July 1st. If I got pregnant today or tomorrow, I wouldn't know it until July. Would insurance cover me? Is there really a way for them to prove that I got pregnant before my insurance kicked in?

  • If you wait until after your insurance starts to go to the doctor, then it is not considered a preexisting condition. They have to have a doctor visit in your medical record, that is the date of start of care. Most doctors don't want to see you until you are 6-8 weeks along anyways, so it shouldn't be a problem.
