she keeps iching down there,its realy bothering her..

my 15month old has been iching and crying when she does it and it always seems to be badly red.her doc looked at it last week and said its fine and told me to use over the counter cream for jock itch,but it doesnt seem to be helping and i dont give her bubble baths.could it be something more i should have her docter look into?

  • Yeast infection probably, young girls are very sensitive still and can get one easily, just cause you don't see it doesn't mean it's not there, take her to get checked.

  • Maybe she has very sensitive skin down there try washing her down there with unscented soap maybe baby soap wash or ivory something not too harsh and perfumiy. It could be pinworms if here little butt itches too. Try using an anti-itch cream or Lotrimin (athlete's foot) just a dabb of it.

  • Could be a UTI too. She needs to be checked again. I'd have them collect a urine sample to be sure it's not a UTI. Even a yeast infection needs treatment and they can prescribe something or recommend an OTC.
