Is it okay for my son to start walking without shoes?

My son is 11 months old and has just started walking. Is it better for him to learn with shoes on or barefoot? I have a problem finding him shoes because his feet are wide plus its summer so thats why he never has shoes on.

  • I let my son walk barefoot at home. i know how hard it is to find soft shoes for those first steps. i found nice soft shoes in macys.

  • Ideally he should go barefoot unless you're letting him walk outside. Then his feet should have protection. Payless carries wide width shoes. Though finding them is still challenging I know.

  • Barefoot is best. They only need shoes outside and when it gets cold.

  • barefoot and if you let him walk outside i would use socks with the no slip grips on the bottom then he won't need the shoes outside
