Breastfeeding and no periods?

With my son I started getting my periods when he was 3 months old and then I had two, skipped a month had another one and then I got pregnant. With my daughter I got my period when she was 3 months also, had three and I haven't had any since, and I am not pregnant. I was wondering if this was normal. I am still breastfeeding my daughter.

  • It is normal for your period to be irregular for up to a year after it comes back, especially if you are still breastfeeding.

  • Having an irregular period, especially when you're exclusively breastfeeding, is completely normal. I wouldn't worry.

  • Thank you everyone for your answers. I was just having a hard judging what was normal since I had gotten pregnant so soon after my son was born. I have a sister who always gets her period six weeks after she has a baby, so I guess almost anything is normal when you are nursing.

    Thanks again.

I am having a great time on here.
