How soon can my baby boy start teething?

He is 2 months and almost 1 week old..he has 2 white bumps on the top part of his mouth on both sides and has been chewing on his hands, me and my husbands fingers, little teething toys and he has been drooling like crazy..This is my first baby and i have no idea how to tell wether he is teething or looks like he prob is but i didnt know if they could start this young..he is a big boy!

  • yes they can start at anytime.

    Its rare but some babies can even be born with teeth.

  • my son started teething at 3 months. I could see the teeth in his gums at 4 months and he cut his first tooth at 7 months. So its very possible you just may not see an actual tooth pop til later

  • Babies can start teething 2-3 months before any teeth arrive. My son and daughter both started teething around 2 months; my son didn't get any teeth until 6 months, and my daughter is 4 months and doesn't have any yet. As long as he doesn't seem to be in pain, count yourself lucky and just let him chew on whatever he wants to (that's safe to do so).
