Nap Issue!

I think my 11 month old son is trying to ditch his a.m. nap... however, here's the problem: He gets tired (rubs eyes, whines a little, yawning, etc) so I go through our normal a.m. nap routine. When I put him down, he either has a total fit, or sits in his crib and talks :-). So... what should I do, since he's still showing drowsy signs? Put him down?

  • My daughter is 8 months and doing this. I would put her down, but i seen that an hour 1/2 later she was still in her crib AWAKE! So i let her sit on the living room floor and play herself til shes falling over tired! ... I noticed she would stop playing , thats when i put her down.

  • My daughter dropped her morning nap around 8 1/2 months. She would be rubbing her eyes and showing all the signs but she still wanted to play so I let her. Now she take about 1 1/2 hour nap around 1 p.m and it seems to be sufficent enough for her.

  • Start letting him take a longer nap in the afternoon. So say goodbye to those am naps! My daughter showed the same signs at drs and she now takes a 3 hour nap at 3:00 - 5:00 or 6:00
