Will a medical card cover Mirena?

When I got pregnant the gov gave me a medical card, My baby girl is due October 19th and the card is valid until May 2010. If I decided to get Mirena (bc) would it cover it? and how long after you have the baby can you get it?

  • It depends on the insurance that you have! I know that mine covered all but 50% of it and i know that Medi-Cal (Cali's version of medicaid) covers it. You cant get it til your cervix closes back up after birth but that is usually between about 6-8 weeks
