boy turns 13 this weekend,,, ideas?

husband got one big present and now we are down to bottom of budget, any ideas how to make his birthday memorable

dad bought paint gun supplies and will take him out to play that, not my cup of tea, but sounds about right for a 13 yr old and his dad. this was pretty costly, so he will not have other gifts to open, i think he should have some more to open, kids like to open stuff, is he getting to that age that he realizes that it is a BIG gift and he does not get a lot of small things to open?? he does like candy, chocolate anything sweet, so maybe i could just get him a bunch of that stuff, the boy has every imaginable electronic game in the world from his moms side (they are loaded!) we are not

any ideas?

  • Fix his favorite meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner or maybe let him pick someplace to go out and eat. Maybe let him rent or buy a movie that the family can watch together.

Also, I think the special time with his dad shooting paintball guns will be memorable. Not all birthday memories are tied to material things.
