  • I never leaked. Breastfed to 26 months. Leaking or not leaking means nothing.

  • I didnt start "leaking" til my milk came in 3 days after my son was born and 2 days after my daughter was born. I was able to squeeze colostrum out at about 36 weeks with both of them but it definitely wasnt leaking

  • Some women never leak. Leaking has nothing to do with the ability to produce milk.

And it is likely that your friend made breastmilk just fine (unless she had breast surgery or they gave her medication without her knowledge), it was probably more that she was told wrong information.

  • I started leaking colostrum at about 24 weeks. Normal, as far as I know. I was able to nurse, and still am, 15 months later.

    good luck!
