  • I'm not sure how big a Jetta is but we own a Ford Focus and it's pretty small. We own an Evenflo Triumph Advance and it fits fine in the center rear facing with the seats all the way back (DH is 6'4)
we also have as a spare seat a Cosco Scenera and it's even smaller and lighter but it doesn't have much as far as padding.

  • I agree with Ami about the Evenflo Triumph. We have a the advanced dlx and it fits in our two door subabru impreza. Also the straps are very easy to adjust

  • You might be surprised what will fit. Try going to store that will let you try them out in your car and see what fits. I had a Civic Coupe, and we were able to fit a big ol' Recaro Como in it! Do some research about safety, narrow it down to a few choices, and start testing. I know Babies R Us has some you can try, and lots of local stores will let you try the seats in your car.
We LOVE the Como, and it does go up to 70 lbs. Our son seems very comfy in it, his head doesn't flop to horribly uncomfortable positions, and it has really good safety reviews.

  • Why would you NOT want one that goes to 65lbs? The Truefit is a GREAT seat that goes to 65lbs and it has a removeable headrest that makes its shorter, once the baby is bigger and the headrest is added the seat can sit way more upright...like 35 degrees instead of 45 and that makes you have more room..
The ETA is a great seat as is the TF...

Ask about this in the carseat questions group...theres a lady in the group that has a Jetta
