how many grams of protien should an average size woman..not pregant eat every day?

  • I was told that the average was between 60-80g.

  • No. It is 46. People are getting more protein in their diet than they need usually. When you get too much protein in your diet for a long period of time it starts to build up in your liver and makes it hard for your liver to do its job of filtering your blood and maintaining proper glucose levels. Basically high protein diets when used in excess or long periods of time can lead to liver disease. SO eat a wide variety of foods and try to get some of your protein from plant sources like beans, soy products, and nuts/seeds. Here is a good page to check out:

  • Take .36 and muliply by your body weight. For example .36 times 130 would be 46.80.
    However if you do aerobic workouts or lift weights on a regular basis you might want to double that.
