What is your label?

It seems everyone has one these days.

What is yours? ADHD? Autism, very high functioning or very low functioning? SAHM. HS Mom. BF Mom. Non-vax Mom.

What is it with all these labels. People clearly state " I am a non-vax mom and I think....." even if their "label" is irrelevant to the topic/

  • Even if it is irrelevant I believe people label themselves so other people might be able to relate to them. For instance if you say your child has autism and you are just answering a regular question ans someone else sees it and they're child also has autism then they can become friends or just have someone to talk to. There is nothing wrong with it. I'm a SAHM but I dont make a point to tell everyone. I do know what your getting at though.

  • I am a SAHM

  • hmm...maybe they're trying to show where they're coming from? Clearly they think its relevant. I have several views but I don't call them labels. I guess I'd label myself a SAHM if I had to pick something but that doesn't really reveal much about me.

  • I'm a stay at home, non spanking, non CIO, non co sleeping, all for vaccinating, breastfeeding and circumcising Mom. But don't criticize the next Mom for not thinking or doing things the way I do. I usually don't label myself but will tell you my views if you ask;)
