advice, plz? behavior-rama..... (sigh)

Kids (3 and 4 1/2) slept poorly last night and were AWFUL this morning... hitting, fighting, tossing toys, etc. Their Grandma picked them up at noon, lunch time (so they were hungry) and took them on a 90 minute car ride during what should've been nap or rest time but kept them awake yapping and playing music. They had tickets in hand to go on a boat ride but Grandma drives like an old, well, Grandma... so they LITERALLY watched the boat sail off without them.
Then they went for a walk on the lakeshore and saw a few kids their age getting off a horse, a lady was selling/renting a walk on her horse. Sadly, those kids were her last customers, horse was exhausted & hungry. So they had a shitty day. Returned to me @ 8pm (bedtime!) and upon exciting vehicle walked towards house, totally burned me and certainly no hugs, I missed u Mommy, etc. This is a 1st for me and my heart aches. Are they blaming me for crappy day? Silent til bed

  • They probably arent blaming you more like just exhausted. No nap and no fun I bet they were just ready for bed. Dont let it get you down.

  • I should add grandma, who I'd ASSUME they should logically be mad at, got a hug 'n' kissy before she got them unbuckled from carseats. I like missed the POOH out of them all day and.... ugh! Burned .... coldly
