How long?

How long would be a good estimate?
I filed custody paperwork and child support paperwork with the court last Monday. How long does it normally take until they set up a date? I know it's two separate court days. But a rough estimate would be fine.

  • You can call the court clerk to ask how backlogged they are and to ask for an estimated length of time.
My daughter submitted all her paperwork the month her baby was born and didn't even get an interview appointment until 5 months later! Now she's waiting to hear from the deadbeat's state as to whether they were able to serve him papers or not.

  • I would think about 3-4 weeks. Nothing happens fast when it comes to the court system.

  • It could take up to a couple months were I live...courts are retarded here.
