Looking for websited to search and contact sitters for free.

Every site I have gone to, and charge to contact the sitters. Is there anything out there that is free?

  • Maybe you could ask a high school in your area if you can post something there to see if anyone is interested in babysitting. Those sites probably charge because they have to do background checks.

  • I don't know if it's free or not, and it's not a website. But you could try contacting your local YMCA or Red Cross and see if they have a list of people who have completed their baby sitting certification classes. Of course, you'll still have to do a check on them - those classes are only for things like First Aide, etc - not to screen abusers or anything.

  • The sites that charge do so because they are safe.. they do full background checks, history, references, etc etc..

  • Oh, and if you're wanting to look online, maybe go to your local paper's website. Usually, you can look at the classified ads there for free, and you could possibly find a sitter listed there, too. Though again, you're going to have to look into them and do your own background / reference checks.
