okay I have a bfing ?

I never breast fed my son after birth he is a week old now and although i have pumped a few times nothing really significant is it too late to bf?

  • feed as often as hes hungry and pump in between. the more your breasts are stimulated, the more milk you will produce. and drink lots of water and eat! healthy of course

  • Put your baby to the breast frequently, all the time if you can~ whenever you think to.
    You can encourage him to suckle~ it gets the milk supply started/increased.

    Hey, some women nurse babies even if they haven't given birth. Be persistant, you can do this, too!
    Be sure to get help~ support from La Leche, other nursing moms, doctor, midwife, lactation consultant, cafemom groups...

  • My aunt relactated 8 years after she gave birth to her last child to bf a child she adopted (my dd, it just so happens).

    If she can do that after 8 years, you can definitely do it after a week :~) And you'll probably have an easier time of it since you haven't waited that long to try. Good luck! Google relactation, put the baby to breast constantly, and join the bfing moms group.

  • Breastfeed often
    drink lots of water
    take brewers yeast tablets
    have lots of skin-to-skin contact with your baby
    relax and enjoy your little one!
