Diapers in the pool??

I just registered my 7 month old daughter for a Baby & Parent swimming class. This maybe a silly question, but I seriously have no clue. Do I keep her diaper on under her bathing suit, or do I take it off???

  • a bathing suit will expand and possibly explode. i would use the swimmers. it may not hold pee but will keep a bm in there. so no floaters at least lol
as soon as the lesson is over, then change her back to her diaper. o and just an fyi, be prepared for the class, some of what is done looks bad, but doesnt hurt baby. its going to help her learn how to swim.

  • I always liked the bathing suits with the diapers built in - you can get them at Babies R Us, online if you don't have one close.

  • Get a swimper of some sort. Diapers get HUGE when wet!

  • yes, as others have said, use swim diapers. THere are some you can buy that are disposable. There are resuable ones, and there are some htat are built into the bathing suit. So there's a good selection for you.

  • They make swim diapers. They don't hold pee just the poop but they won't swell and explode all over like regular diapers do. Trust me, do NOT put her in water with a regular diaper on, most places won't let you anyway.

I think the swim diapers are called little swimmers but it's been a while since I used them. Good luck!
