Your 7 month olds schedule

How often do you give a bottle? How often solids? How much of each? Right now we are doing bottle with 4 oz at 6am , 10, 2, 6, and 9pm and then twice duing the night. Solids are at 8am, 12, 4, and 8pm. If I give his bottle the same time as the solids he doesnt eat as much. He's always been on the small side so its important he eats enough. I'm just trying to find a better way than every 2 hrs! Its alot of work.

  • My son is between the 5-10% for weight at 9 months, 40% for height so he's on the small side too. At 7 months he was eating 1/3 cup of rice or oatmeal cereal at around 7:30 after breastfeeding along with a stage 2 jar of fruit. At 11:30 he would eat a stage 2 jar of veggies and 1/2 jar fruit, bfeeding after. At 3:30 - bfeeding. At 6 - stage 2 jar of veggies and 1/2 jar fruit, bfeeding after. At 8 - bfeed and then down for the night. Slept through until 7 next morning.
IF we ever needed to supplement and didn't have any bmilk pumped, we would supplement with a 4 oz bottle of formula. Around that age, we also switched from baby food to table food, so he could eat what we were having when we were eating.

  • He still gets most his nutrition from his formula at this age. My son was a pig, he ws drinking 8oz every 3-4 hours starting at age 2 months. When we started on baby food, he would eat a jar then have 8oz of formula. My daughter was a pixie, she never took more than 6oz. I never fed my kids on a schedual really, just on demand. For baby food, they would have it usually a couple of times a day, but most of their sustanance came from thier bottle. I would also give them oatmeal some mornings.
