anything you can do for a 6 mo old runny nose?

i wipe it every few min its sad :( shes congested and running a fever.

  • Not much you can do... just wipe and put lotion on her nose and cheeks so it won't get sore.

  • Use the suction ball thing and keep sucking it out. If you need to squirt a little saline mixture up there to loosen the snot that supposedly works. Keep the vaseline on her skin around nose, above lip, to keep from getting chapped.

  • if u r breastfeeding, breastmilk works better than saline, sqirt some in her nose

  • Saline, nasal aspirator and a clean humidifier.

  • Saline drops and a there is a product called Nose Frida (www.nosefrida.com) that works sooooo much better than that ball suction thing. My newborn had a cold when he was 2 wks old and it really, really helped!

  • If my memory serves me right, you're a BFing mommy, so like anon :25 said, squirt some BM up her nose, and then suction. Works SO much better than saline!
