  • just thought i'd add that i don't really know that my early labor was 12 hours, just that i was very crampy and uncomfortable all night long and then was in active labor by around 10:00 am so i gues that was active labor!

  • Baby #1
    Active labor: 2 hours
    Pushed: 20 minutes

    Baby #2
    Active labor: 1 hour
    Pushed: Less then 5 minutes

    Baby #3
Active labor: Unsure but less then 1 hour
Pushed: Tried not to push because the doctor wasn't ready. Baby ended up being born on the bed.

  • i say who cares when the doctor is ready! do it when you and baby are ready! lol.

thanks everyone for sharing! seems like a lot of you have had short labors, and seems like pretty much everyone's 2nd, 3rd labors were shorter than the 1st.
