THE CHILDREN AND FAMILY DEPARTMENT CLAIMS THAT THEY LOOK OUT FOR THE WELFARE OF THE CHILDREN, YET IN FLORIDA GAYS ARE ALLOWED TO FOSTER BUT NOT ALLOWED TO ADOPT. A MALE COUPLE WERE FOSTERING THESE TWO YOUNG BLACK LITTLE BOYS FOR OVER FIVE YEARS, THEY CREATED A BOND THEY DON'T WANT TO BREAK AND ARE APPEALING THE LAW SO THEY CAN ADOPT THEM. SO IF THIS DEPARTMENT OF CF IS LOOKING OUT FOR THEIR WELFARE AND THEY THINK A GAY COUPLE IS NOT GOOD FOR ANY KIDS WHY LET THEM FOSTER? IS THE RELIGIOUS BASE FOR THIS NATION KEEPING CHILDREN FROM BEING DOPTED BY WILLING GAY COUPLES? HOW IS THIS LOOKING OUT FOR THE CHILDS BEST INTEREST?

This prejudice ends up costing us tax payers a lot of money. Think about it in foster care the foster parents receive a check (not a lot I understand) the kids medical is covered by the state, the children get clothing allowance and such (again I know not a lot) And while they may not cover a lot of money for all this per child it adds up. Where as if the parents adopt them the state is off the hook. I always find it odd that a lot of the people screaming about how horrible it is to let gay people adopt are a lot of the same ones that whine about taxes and food stamp programs. A lot of people if allowed to adopt the kids they are already fostering would no longer receive those benefits.
