  • well it all depends on your babies wieght. usually a 4 month old would eat every 4 to 6 hours out of a bottle but now is also the time to start trying solids with him. this is the window where kids start to watch and copy. like if you sit down with him and have some soft food see what he does when you give it to him, than do the same with a bottle, if he takes a bottle but not solids than he should stay with formula every 4 to 6 hours if he likes solids try a bottle only 4 ounces of water and 2 scoops of formula. give him a bottle only when he seems hungry for it. but try solids also. i hope you understand my answer.

  • 6 months is the MINIMUM age to start solids for all babies. All babies should also be fed milk on demand for at least their first year. So don't sweat over X amount of ounces. Just feed him when he's hungry til he's full.

  • Do NOT put cereal in a bottle ever! Doctors are not nutritional specialists. They have no reason to recommend solids so soon. Babies are all different but NO baby needs solids at 4 months. Experts and studies agree that the infant belly is not physically ready for solids til AT LEAST 6 months of age but that waiting is best.
