my daughter hasnt been eating much the past 2 days....help!

she was sick about 3 days ago she had a fever and runny nose, now she just has a runny nose. but yesterday she ate no solid foods only a boob, i tried all different foods too. she didnt have it. this morning she would not eat a boob even after not eating all night. i tried giving her banana and apples and she didnt want to eat it, she didnt want a boob either. then she just fell asleep.

should i worry? do babies sometimes go through spurts where they wont have solid foods for a day or two? could it just be here getting over being sick and having no energy??

  • growth spurts or teething they may not want food as much but if she is sick she works harder to eat or do anything so she just wants to sleep like you and i when sick we sleep, but if she refuses to eat or drink "boob" id give her pedilite and re call the dr

  • ive tried pedialyte she wont drink it either, i think its more like she wont take a bottle because she is used to the boob. but i even tried in a cup.
she already hit her 6 month growth spurt too a few weeks ago, shes actually closer to being 7 months now....
thanks ill try again when she wakes up and if she still wont ill probably call her pedi. thank you!!

  • yes they do. sometimes they just don't feel like eating maybe cause they feel a little under the weather and the thought of food isn't very appealing. as adults we can feel the same. i wouldn't worry unless she had other issues like dyhration, diarrehia, high temp etc. if she is healthy and just not eating one day or two i would not worry to much. just make sure that she is getting water or pedialyte.
