  • Here are a few ideas of things to do.
Go on your first date to what ever you do the first time you went out
Go to a quite fast food place - bring love letter you have wrote each other before the date, read them to each other. I still have the ones we write each other.
Go to the mall with five or ten dollars a piece - you must each go off by your self and buy a gift that symbolize something about the other person to you. Met in the food court and exchange gifts. Let the other guess first why you get that and then explain to him if need be
have some one watch the kids and have a quite candle light dinner at home.
be kids for the day - go swing at the park, color, play jerks and marbles

  • DH and I write letters to each other every Christmas, "The 25 things I love and appreciate about you". This has been a tradition for over 10 years now, I love it! I would have someone watch the kids and go to a matinee (cheaper!) and out to a nice lunch. Hold hands and make out like you did when you were dating, laugh and just enjoy each other. These times are so few and far between, you can connect on such a nice level when it is just the 2 of you! Happy Anniversary!

  • the second anniversary is traditionally cotton and there are lots of affordable cotton things. Depending on the time of year, it may be nice to get out and try something new like check out an orchard for apple picking in the fall or an outdoor concert in the park (usually free). happy anniversary!
