  • Unfortunatly you need to treat the lawn as well since that may be the source of the fleas. They can live in the grass. Then treat the dogs, carpet, furniture again.

  • What have you treated the dogs with? If it was over the counter then it may not be doing it's job. Also If you are using the vet products some shampoos can dry out the skin causing it not to spread and work properly.

  • yeah you should probably get some kind of topical treatment. maybe you can get a stronger one from the vet? Here's an article about flea control that might help:

  • so, you went to the vet & got advantage, or front-line. How long has it been? If you gave the right dosage to your dog, then you will begin to see fleas decline after a few days. The bigger the dog, the longer it takes for the flea stuff to cover their coat completely. Also, most of the fleas around your house will eventually die because they are attracted to your dogs, & they will die once they land on it. Trust me, my ex mother in law had THE WORSTE flea incident i have ever seen, you could actually see them jumping off the carpet, a week after giving her three dogs front-line, they vanished. You should also buy s flea killer for your carpets if you have carpet. They can easily lay eggs in your carpet, & live there instead of on your dog.

  • oh yes, over the counter products DO NOT have to get frontline, or advantix from your vet. You can get it at any petsmart, but you have to fill out a form at the vet desk, it's easy. This is the only stuff that will actually keep your dogs flea free.
