  • easy pie crust. Good for pot pies, or fruit pies. (Get the canned filling).

    For a 2 crust pie:

    2 Cups Flour
    1 Cup Shortening
    1/2 Cup water
    1 tsp. salt.

If you only want one crust, (for quiche or a tart) 1/2 the recipe.

  • Something easy for dinner? Just take a mac n cheese dinner , make it as the directions say to, then add 1lb ground beef, 1 cup salsa, 1/2 cup sour cream, 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese. Mix together heat til cheese is melted and eat.. It's better than the box hamburger helper, and really easy!

  • Go to the library and check out a couple of kids cookbooks; my favorite is called Pretend Soup. Once you have mastered the basics, then take out a few more. You can also try some of the recipe exchange groups on CafeMom and YahooGroups
