Can you give cheerios to babies who are 6 months old? Sometimes my daughter gags when eating a cookie so I was scared.

  • I would try Gerber puffs before the cheerios. The puffs melt once they touch their tongue which would be safer then her chocking on cheerios.

  • I wouldn't but my son is only 4 1/2 months so I don't have much experience. Maybe if she is gagging that might mean she is not ready... 6 months does seem a little young but all babies are different. Maybe you should hold off for a while longer if you're worried. You are Mom. I would trust your own instincts.

  • No cheerios, try to baby puffs in the baby food isle.

  • Not to sound rude, but why would you give your six month old a cookie?
