what can get permanant marker off?

my son wrote all over my moms floor and wall with a brown permanant marker what can i use to get it up?

  • nail polish remover..but idk bout using it on the floor..what kind of floor? wood? it might take the top coat off...

  • Not sure if it would work the same on a floor, but plain old toothpaste and gentle scrubbing with a thumb took black sharpie marks off my BIL's nice new flatscreen computer monitor.

  • Magic Eraser... just make sure to test it in an inconspicuous place first because it may not be compatible with all flooring types.

  • I'm adding another vote for Magic Eraser, I've used it to take sharpie off of my desk, it is amazing how well it works.

  • Car wax took magic marker off the side of my white mini van when my then kindergarten age daughter decided it would be cute to trace her hand and write her brothers name under it, I had no idea that would work but another m om told me and sure enough, paste car wax took it off like it was never there, it would probably work on the floor at least.
