  • Is he tired in the morning? If not, stick to the routine. If yes, try slowly setting it back to about 8.

  • My 4 yo just started preschool too last month and his bedtime is strictly 8 pm. No tv, no lights, just bed. And he wakes up in the morning with no fuss and a good night's rest. On Friday and Saturday nights, we let him stay up until 9-9:30.

  • My kids bedtime at that age was strictly 8:00. We'd start bath/stories, etc. around 7 so they could be in bed ready to sleep at 8. They need a lot of sleep!

  • I think 8:00pm is a much better bed time until 6 years old.
