What bottles did you use on your gassy baby??

My 6 week old daughter seems to be having some bad gas almost everytime she eats. Now, before you tell me to switch the formula let me tell you why I can't. She was born 5 weeks premature and the pediatriction has her on a high calorie formula until she gains enough weight. I feed her up right, burp her constantly while feeding her and even give her a little gripe water when nothing else works. Do you know of any bottles or rememdies that might soothe her until I can switch her formula?

  • Drop-Ins are awesome! Saved our poor baby tons of tummy pain when she had to go on formula (she was lactose intolerant, starting to outgrow it, thankfully). You can buy off-brand liners for them, like Parent's Choice at Walmart for nearly half the price of the Playtex ones, too.

  • mylicon gas drops are wonderful you can buy in to the gimmicks (playtex drops in dr. browns etc) but we noticed no real difference between bottles besides our babies own preferance feeding her before she is actually hungry may help her relax more before a feeding and not gulp air but the mylicon drops do work! Just give them to her right before a feeding it will make a difference preemies are rough we had one too best of luck!

  • I used anti colic bottles. They were awesome! I wasn't sure about them at first (I received them as a gift) but they really do work.

  • thanks all! drop ins, gripe water and gas drops it is! I acctually had someone give me some unopened bottle liners right after my baby was born. I almost gave them away because I didn't think I'd need them! Good thing I hold on to almost everything :) lol

  • We used drop-ins as well. My son was colicky and has reflux. You can get "generic" liners at Walmart and Target!
