Do you teach them how to save their money?

  • My older kids all have savings accounts at the credit union and they put half of their allowance in there. Plus we talk about the purchases they make with their spending money and whether or not it's a wise choice.

  • to a degree lets say they have 10 dollars and they blow it right away after you said make it last and they want a new toy or something you say sorry if you spent your money wisely then you would have been able to get it

  • Yes. My oldest son who is 3 knows the value of a dollar. He knows he can spend his money but he only does so wisely.

  • They have to put half of their allowance to save in their bank. My oldest son I have a savings account for.
