Why do half the questions and posts on CafeMom sound like they were typed by 6th grade dropouts?

  • I am sure that a large percentage of people on this site did not graduate high school and I am sure that an even larger percentage did not go to, nor graduate from college. Combine that with poor morals, disregard, and a side ways perception and VIOLA!!!

  • I don't know but if I see another "waz" or other strange spelling of a simple word.....I may puke. Come on people, its not that hard to use regular English.

  • I know, it really irritates me to the point that there are some posts I just can't respond to because the grammar or spelling is just so wrong!

Actually, in most formats (including MLA) you can use either written out letters or numerical form, as long as you are consistent and the number is not at the beginning of the sentence. I have a BA in English. : )

  • Actually the rule is numbers under ten must be spelled out. Just saying. (Graduated with a BA degree in 2003)
