8 month old not eating formula very well?

My son just turned 8 months on the 2nd. He was drinking 4 bottles 6oz each a day. Now he might take one or two if that. He eats solids well so do I need to increase his solids or is he okay? Why would he all of sudden do this? He has been sleeping a lot more now too.

  • Lower the "solids" and increase the formula. Start introducing table foods.

  • he doesn't eat much solids either. Just a bite here and there between trying to give formula

  • Talk to ur doctor when a baby is acting different in feeding and sleepin habits it could mean something not right like mayb his iron is low or might even b diabetic its happened to my nephew his irons really low

  • yes, have his iron checked. I know they usually do this at the 9 month appointments, but just call up to your docs and ask the nurse what she thinks. He really needs about 24 oz of formula at this age. Combined with low energy/more sleeping, this could be something.

  • Formula is more important then the solids. I agree give less solids.
