Not exactly. Asatru refers to a very specific organized religion. It's one of the state religions sanctioned in Iceland. Heathen refers to people who practice any of the northern european reconstructionist religions. There are also Odinists and Theodists. It's like the difference between Christian and Methodist. Heathens can be Asatru or Odinist or Theodist or one of the more obscure ones. And then some don't claim a specific branch (like non-denominational Christians). You'll see the term Heathen used interchangably with any of the branches, along with Germanic or Norse Pagan, though that's typically not the term used by most Heathens, more one that gets assigned by others. It's more common among people who moved from eclectic Pagan to Heathenry.
