I just moved into an apt and there is no oven there. I purchased a double burner hot plate like maybe a month or so ago. It seems to heat up food pretty good it's just that it takes sooooo long to cook anything in it. To sauce onions and garlic it takes like forever..and to boil water for pasta..it takes like 30 mins just to boil water!
I will be using this temporarily until I get a brand new oven. I would like to return it though and get a better quality one that cooks food faster. What kind of qualities should I look for in a good hot plate? ex design, power, material, etc.
Please don't suggest I get a microwave! I would never consider getting one.
