Prayer Beads for Pagans??

I have been seeing prayer beads more and more often. I know that many of the ancient cultures used them but never knew it to be a modern Pagan practice. Just a Catholic one... So does anyone use them? What do you think of the growing popularity of them among Pagans?

  • When I hear the expression "prayer bead" I don't think Catholic, I think Hindu or Native American. I've only ever heard Catholics refer to them as rosaries, so to my mine prayer beads are only a "pagan" thing.

  • ditto, NP..maybe because of my native american heritage...in my small arkansas town of less than 80,000, i'd have to say most catholics i've encountered (we have three large parishes in town, also two episcopals) refer to them as 'rosary'..
..on topic '?'..no comment...just chiming in on answers so far. lol
