Which should you do first? Ween from bfing or potty training?

  • I don't think it matters. I am potty training my daughter who is breastfed still. I have also weaned and then potty trained. I suppose you could even do both at once! I let the kids self wean though, so it would be different if I quit nursing cold turkey!

  • gosh if your child is being potty trained must be time to cut off the boob

  • I hate to say it but I agree with Anon :45 .... If a child is potty training it's time to wean from the boob.

  • LOL!! I was potty training my daughter at nine months! Certainly NOT time to wean! My sons I started at 12 and 18 months - again, a little early to wean although mine had both quit by then.

    My daughter self-weaned at 23 months. She was reading and tying her own shoes before she was completely out of diapers.
