  • Whether you are Christian a Muslim or other. God taught to love one another. Yes he did say to go and preach the Gospel, but for those people who dont want to hear it. Let them be. We are all in the same circle, circle of life. We come here do our duties finish our mission, we dont know what the future holds for us. So lets just leave day by day and leave tomorrow to God.

  • Wow...
Muslims believe in all the prophets, and therefore the Quran mentions them. It has events mentioned in the Bible because Muslims also believe they happened, and believe that God revealed the Quran to Muhammad just like He revealed the Torah and the Gospel to the Jews and Christians. The Quran was in addition to what was already revealed by God to us.

Muhammad doesn't say its okay to kill and fight - the Quran makes it clear that the only time fighting is allowed is in defense, and strictly prohibits the harm of any innocent person.

Muslims don't believe Jesus is the Son of God because they do not believe God begets, and they don't believe in putting anyone on the same level of God - but they do believe in the virgin birth, the second coming, and in His message. They also consider Him to be the Messiah, they just don't believe He actually died on the cross (they believe God raised Him up), or in the atonement.

  • It's been a long time since I've read the Quran but from what I remember, violence, especially against fellow children of Abraham, is prohibited (except in defense as bandgeek said).

We cannot glean all of our knowledge and assumptions about Islam based on what a few extremists do any more than we can assume that bombing an abortion clinic is an acurate depiction of Christianity.

  • Sure thing sahmamax2! Islam is an absolutely interesting and beautiful faith, so I love learning about it. Although there are some Muslim mommies on here who could do a far better job of explaining than I could!

  • ann:40 there is nothing wrong with learning about other religions but this question has a hostile tone. CM doesn't think so, therefore, I will just avoid it. CM thought did delete the other question and some the hate responders. so I will just respect their choice of what goes and what stays.
