baby boys 1st birthday?

Me and my Aunt both have lil ones turning 1 in October, and we are throwing a double party, neither one of us has a big enough house, nor do we know anyone with a big anough house, and we are broke, but we need to figure out somewhere to throw their party! It will be too cold by then to do it in a park, and her son probably won't be walking by then, and I'm not 100% sure about mine either, so what should we do thats inexpensive? i need ideas! Help?!

  • Have an Autumn party in a public park. Pick up some small pumpkins that the kids can decorate with markers. Do face paintings. Print out some coloring book pages from the Internet that are Fall themed - leaves, pumpkins, scarecrows. They can find leaves and do leave art work. Either tracing or gluing the leaves to the paper. The kids can play on the playground. Only serve cake and ice cream without all of the other food. Keep the goodie bags to a few items.

  • Check your local McDonalds; - they usually have a separate party room and a deal for happy meals, cake, goodie bags ans playtime for like $50. Good luck!

  • See if you can arrange to rent the clubhouse in a local apartment complex. They're usually really nice and really affordable. Sometimes you'll need to know someone who lives in the complex, but sometimes not. You'll have to be scrupulous about clean-up, though.
