When you ovulate, do your breasts hurt?

My fertile week began on time on CD 13(on the 3rd) and I was supposed to ovulate tomorrow, but I am ovulating today. I woke up this morning, and my cervix was soft, high, open and I had clear gooey cervical mucus, which are my normal sighns. I also have light cramps, which is also normal. But, I also have really sore breasts...not the nipples, but the sides that are close to the arms. They hurt really bad, almost like someone punched me and I have a bad bruise there. Does anyone else get sore breasts when they are ovulating?

  • I have. It's not a regular thing for me, but it's happened. It's possible whenever there's a hormone shift, which is why it's so common around ovulation and menstruation (and early pregnancy, of course).
