My 1 yr old always tries to blow his nose on his arm but pushes away when I try to use a tissue. How can I get him to blow into a tissue?

He doesn't like to have boogies in his nose so he scrunches up his face and blows. Sometimes he will blow into his arm but when I try to get him to blow into a tissue he freaks out. Is he just too young to know, he turned 1 Aug. 24? How can I get him to use the tissue and not blow boogies all over the place?

  • Have you tried letting him hold it? My toddler loves to wipe his own nose, but he fights me when I try to do it for him.

  • Try a hankey. maybe it's a texture thing and the tissues hurt, or smell funny to him. Try differant brands till you find one he tolerates.
