im making a birthday cake and need help

hi im making a cake for my babys first birthday its going to be a white cake in a shape of a one the in side going to be a layer of bananas and a layer of choclate mousse i dont know what kind of icing should i use? i dont want it to be overwhelming. can anyone help me. and thank you for taking the time to read this.

  • You can just do a simple butter cream icing in whatever color you would like. If you don't want to be overwhelming.. maybe white or an off white - or a yellow. :]

  • i would use a icing thats like whiped cream almost because then you have the sweetneess from the cake and from the mousse.

  • the whipped cream one is great, used it on my son's 3rd b-day,.. loved it and it looks nice too, like silk
