Keeping us safe?

Three terrorists convicted of plotting to blow up jets over Atlantic. 10 They were arrested August 2006, just two days before it was feared they would stage a dry run of the plot – but the US had wanted the plotters arrested days earlier, fearing that British police would miss the start of the attack.

I sometimes worry that another horrible act will fall on our country again. I really worry about us being made vulnerable by our new administration. What do you ladies think? Are we being properly protected?

  • apologizing for defending our country and our freedoms, and apologizing for casualities in the course of war--when it was requested that america help, and having tea with terrorists and terrorists sympathizers/abeters is no way to keep our country safe.

  • if we don;t have a terrorist attack on us soil during obama's term, we will have one soon after he his replaced by his successor--be it another democrat or republican--when we are at our lowest and most divided.

  • No. We aren't being protected. How many terrorist attacks took place on US soil AFTER 9/11? Try NONE! Why? Because they KNEW President Bush would NOT take it lying down, and he proved he'd retaliate! They didn't DARE come back over here. Now, with the namby-pamby wimp we have to suffer through, who wants to "make nice-nice" with everyone, regardless of how vile they are,or how un-American they are, you can bet they are laughing all the way to the next planeload of innocent Americans. Our "president" has made us the laughing stock of the world.

  • Look at what North Korea tried to do--playing a game of cat and mouse. Kim Jong Il isn't the only one, and with Chavez and Ahmacrazyguy buddying up, I AM concerned about the safety of our country--and you should be too!

  • Oh, forgot to add, once Kim Jong Il got a chance to meet with former president Clinton, and the two reporters were released, how quiet he became?

Clinton appeased Kim Jong Il during his presidency, I have no doubt he appeased him again behind closed doors. All that little Napoleon wanted was more money or nukes, and I'm SURE he got what HE wanted.

  • Why didn't Bush bother trying to prevent 9/11?

  • No, we're not safe. As long as our foreign policy includes bombing innocent people, there will always be people who want to see us wiped off the earth. Like it or not, it's a fact.

It's called "blowback", and it's why 9/11 happened.
