nipple bumps? HELP!!

i have a 9 month old daughter that i just stop nursing, but i started getting little bumps on my nipples. could that be from stopping, i got them when i was pregnant. could i be again? i just noticed more of them tonight. or does anyone know what they are they kinda look like pimples...but arnt.

  • I have them on my nipples all of the time. I think it's normal.

  • These are probably just Montgomery Tubercles. They are used to secrete oils to help protect your nipples and are perfectly normal. You can read about them here: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/2215435/why_nipples_have_bumps.html?cat=69

    The only reason you should be worried is if they're especially large, discolored or paintful.
