Is there anything you would have done differently suring pregnancy?

I wouldnt have stopped at every fast food place I saw and used my pregnancy as an excuse to be a pig. I wouldnt have drank so much pepsi, now looking at my daughter I am not sure if her personality is just her or she is so busy because of the caffine. Definatly two things I would do differently next timeI get pregnant, if I do.

  • I'd start right away on a high protein diet. I had high blood pressure mostly due to a bad diet. I'd also make a point to continue with exercise. I'm eating healthy and exercising regularly now, but I wasn't during my last pregnancy. That's what I would do.

  • Can't really say there is anything I'd do differently in all 4 of my pregnancies.

  • I would've ate better when pregnant with my 1st. I literally ate cakes, cookies and sweets almost allday everyday, and also developed high blood pressure. With my 2nd I would've made the doctors somehow believe my correct due date, so I wouldn't have ended up with a c-section 3 weeks late with a 10 lb baby. Now in my 3rd, I'm proud of how I've been eating, but if I knew I was going to develop a toothache mid-pregnancy, I'd have had that piece of shit taken out earlier! :(

  • I wish I had realized before hand that I was hypoglycemic and that during pregnancy I had gestational diabetes, every test came back normal but I had all the symptoms. I have had several doctors tell me that if we had known before hand about the hypo they would have caught it sooner and I would have had less problems.

I would also not have that second induction, the first one was the right move but the second one was not the greatest idea. luckily in my thrid pregnancy i had the chance to change these things and the difference was amazing.

  • I wish I had read more about c-sections. It just never occured to me that I would have to have one but I did. I was given a c-section because my water had been broke for 18 hours. I really wish I had been strong enough to tell them to leave me alone for another hour or two and see how it goes before making that decision.

  • I wish I would have gone to a midwife, not a doctor. I wish I would have cut back more on the caffeine. One thing I am glad I did was through my entire pregnancy I ate really healthy. No I didn't diet or anything, trust me I ate plenty. It was good food though, not a lot of junk. I gained 28 lbs, and tried to stay active.

  • I wish i wouldn't have listened to my husband when he told me i was starving the baby. Then maybe i wouldn't have gained so much weight at the end. I wish that i would have taken more pictures and hired someone to take pictures at his birth. I wish that i could do it all over again..

  • I would have ate more than i did. when I'm pregant I have low appetite, so finding away to eat more would be great back then.
