  • With the baby I am currently pregnant with we tried for less than a week, but I had just gotten my IUD taken out so I was VERY fertile. With our first child it was about 8-10 months of not trying but not using protection either.

  • 11 mos of not trying but not using protection either. And I came off the depo shot 3 mos prior to us meeting (we are a love at first sight couple).

  • We weren't trying. I have had people tell me with in a year if nothing happens then you may want to go and see your doctor so your doctor sounds like he is right on track. It will happen just don't try so hard.

  • Oh, and for me, gaining weight worked. When I finally gained 15 lbs I got pregnant.

  • I just found out that I'm pregnant about a week ago. We tried for 18months before I finally got pregnant. To be honest I finally got pregnant when we weren't trying. We had decided to try not to worry about it until we had the money for a specialist.

  • BTW you don't need your doctor to call up a fertility specialist if you have concerns. Make sure they are a fertility specialist and not just an ob/gyn. If you want a baby now you really don't have to wait 1, 2, 3 or 10 years like I did!

  • I got pregnant easily all three times...like 1 month...however, I miscarried the first, on bed rest the second-healthy baby, and pregnant again with little complications!

Everyone is different. Try to relax, making a baby should not be work! Just let it come when it happens! Don't work so hard!

  • 15 year old * instantly (lol)
    8 year old * 3 years
    - would be 7 year old * instantly
    2 year old * 14 months
    - would be almost due in december * instantly

It seems ;like when we aren't trying it happens and when we are trying it takes FOREVER ... but the times we try are successful !
