If it's no big deal

why did Dems investigate Bush after he spoke to a bunch of students? They even had congressional hearings over it afterwards, spending all our money to decide if it was a waste of money.

When Bush spoke to students, Democrats investigated, held hearings

  • The only difference is WHO is giving the speech. When Bush did it, they conveniently forgot the controversy surrounding it. But anybody who has reservations about the Lord High Almighty Obama giving the speech is automatically labelled and put down as a racist or a wacky conservative.

  • GHWB's speech never asked for allegience to HIM or for children to help him specifically. Arrogance didn't proliferate from the WH to the media channels into the schoolrooms with Bush like it ALMOST did with Azzhole. Pull your head out of your ass :23. The difference is HUGE and has nothing to do with God or the Bush name or political affiliation. You clearly are deranged, quick go breathe some air.

  • Maybe some people, like me, think it was stupid when people got upset about Bush Sr. giving a speech. I don't care which party gave him the hard time, it was stupid then and it's stupid now. I do find it typical though that when the Dems did it, they made it financial(a stupid, but not insane argument) and now that the Reps are doing it, the president is a Nazi who wants to indoctrinate our children.

  • Did Bush require [the taxpayer paid] salaries/resources of the Dept of Education to develop a lesson plan/curriculum? I don't remember him working with the Dept of Ed to develop quite this extent of post speech curriculum that the Obama administration has done.
