he seems calmer after coming back from dads?

my son seems a lot calmer today (usually he's completely wild). he spent 3 days at his dads house this weekend and i have no idea what he does differently over there. does tv make kids hyper or something? because i know my son watches tv here and not over there.

  • TV doesn't stimulate kids enough. So it could be that he played with him outside or did fun inside things rather than as much TV as he watches at your house!

  • It could be as simple as daddy wrestles with him and gives him that active, rough stimulation. I know my boys NEED that. DS will actually start getting REALLY whiny when dh is gone because he craves that rough stimulation that he gets from daddy wrestling with him on the floor. Even as an infant he needed the "daddy time" to not be as cranky. Daddy would lay on the floor with him and nudge him with his head (kinda goofy but he loved it). Dads often discipline different than mom and have a different manner of making kids do as they are supposed to do, so though you may feel it isn't enough discipline it may be different discipline. And dads don't tend ot worry as much about things that moms tend to find ultra important so it seems more lenient, when in all honesty it is different priorities.
